Stuck for something to do on a Sunday night and staying at the Youth Hostel? Wander down to the Arlington Bar on Woodlands Road. No it is not trendy and there is no DJ just an old fashioned Glasgow pub with a Sunday night quiz with prizes!
Great bar staff, cheap prices and good company and a few charcters. Go while a pub like this still exists
The Babbity Bowster.
Well worth a visit. It has no eletronic music, mechanichal thing are frowned upon (Even the cigarette machine is only administed by staff).
In other words people visiting it are not distracted by anything other than each other. A scarey place where people actually speak to each other.
The food is unusual and well prepared, the drinks are different. Although about 1km out of the city centre the ares is quite worth a night out - Cafe Gandolfi, Grannie Blacks and many other cool places are nearby in the area called The Merchant City.
You must look at Willie's Seat!
Some old guy at the Baersford Pub claimes this seat as his own... but according to me Mum it's MY SEAT and WIllie can't have it!
