This pub offers wonderful service....Wendy and her staff make you feel like a local!! They offer meals from the hotel restaurant. There is a pool table and large screen plasma. A jukebox for music and locals that will keep you laughing with their wit.
Dress Code: Casual except on Saturday nights which seems to be when even the locals dress up.
This pub is a mans domain.....at least that is what a local told me. It seems that in the afternoon, early evening this is the place to be for local men. In the late evening this pub is frequented by men and women alike and is a fun spot to be. Take time and listen to the locals. They have some wonderful stories!
This pub features bar or bench seating and has a large screen plasma for watching the game. The George Hotel itself is run by a wonderful family that is very helpful. There is another pub within the George located near the dining area (which has fantastic food!!!) This is used more by the hotel guests than the locals except on Saturday nights ......That is when the local musicians play there.....(they are awesome with both old rock and new alternative music) then the whole town seems shows up.
For the smokers....this is the only pub in town with a covered smokers area outside!
Dress Code: For dinner at the George....would recommend slacks and dress shirt. For Saturday nights....it seems this is the night even the locals dress up....so, would recommend .....no jeans... and they seem to like black for this night.
