Great staff and a great atmosphere. Tally Ho's (Tally's for the locals) is a student oriented pub and has a great Guinness. Gets very busy at the weekends ... quiz night Tuesday and student games Wednesday.
Popl Nero is a more up-market pub - but anyone is welcome and you won't get strange looks from regulars if your not wearing the right label!! Go in during the day and chill out with a superb coffee on the comfy sofas ... cool

If you're ever unfortunate enough to find yourself in the Menzieshill area of Dundee.
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GO INTO 'THE SHAND BAR'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you're not accosted into buying dodgy DVD's or Razors, if you look like you've got any money, you'll be followed into the toilets and have it stolen from you at knifepoint.
Don't be tempted in with the promise of a 'Quiz Night'. If it happens (and if not, see the point above) it'll be rigged in favour of the regulars. If you DARE to prove that you're smarted than the *** regulars....
... well, just make sure you can run faster than they can.

7 nights a week 365 days a year. (yes you just read it, this place opens on Xmas Eve and Day! A popular nightclub with the nearby University and it student population and locals alike.
We paid £2.50 for entry on a Monday Night and bottles of Corona were £1.50 each (not bad at all). Even on a Monday night this place had a lively beat to it! So if in Dundee check it out.
Didn't see any particular dress code in operation and it seemed quite a relaxed atmosphere with professional (not over the top and in your face) security.
