Burberry: Scottish Checks

by wrldtravler

One of my favorite labels out there. Burberry has been dressing Kings and Queens for century's. The new Burberry has a lot more to offer than the standard Burberry plad (beige with red, black checks). The designers stay true to their blue blooded roots but have incorporated the practicality and functionality of present day life. A Must Have is the Burberry scarf. But what would make your day is a rich burberry jacket with the standard Burberry plad lining inside. Expensive.

Oxford Street: Fashions for Less

by wrldtravler

Oxford Street, off Tottenham Court Road is a paradise for the value shopper. Here you will find great labels like barcelona based Mango and Swedish H&M, but the real icing on the cake are the numerous stores selling great fashionable clothes at throw-away prices. A truly great shopping experience. You can also get your staple London, Underground, Mind the Gap t-shirts and other London Memerobilia. Also there are ample leather stores selling Italian Leather Jackets and the works. Cheap

Spitalfield Market: Antiques, Furniture, Books, Art, Clothes etc.

by RejaneR

Spitalfield has got something from everything. And if you need a brake from shoping you can eat anything you can imagine. You can buy old books (2hand), different kind of clothes, foods, unusual furniture, Music, Art and all this stuff it's difficult to say how much you have to pay for things. It's not to expensive and you can try to deal. But if they notice that you're a tourist they will try to take more from you.

High Streets: Great Shopping!!!!!

by Travellgirl

There are so many shops in the High Street....I must say I do like to go and spend my money in any of the clothing shops...Some of my favs are.....Next, Etam, River Island, and Dorothy Perkins! I love the shoes there...Especially the sketchers. There is one brand that i can only get there..Have looked all over North America and could not find them. Clothes are expensive in England but the styles are different!

All: Pounds are king here

Britain still operates using the pound, despite all the major European countries having switched to the Euro. One of the strongest currencies in the world it is doing quite poorly now.
