The "Stowmarket Fourteen" is the local term for all the pubs in the town. The unofficial challenge is to attempt to have an alcoholic drink in each one of them on the same day. I have heard a variation of the rule where you can't start this until 6pm.
You can complete the pubs in any order that you want but the logistics need to be considered as the nightclubs are right in the centre of the town so quite a bit of walking is involved.
The pubs are:
1. The Walnut Tree
2. Capones
3. The Stag
4. The Wellington
5. The Royal William
6. The Pickerel
7. The Crown
8. Kennedy's Bar (part of Excel Nightclub)
9. The Royal Oak
10. The Dukes Head
11. Jokers Bar
12. The Unicorn
13. The Gladstone
14. The Magpie
I've had a go at this a couple of times and sadly failed at around the 12 mark. Maybe one day !!!
