Unfortunately I have lost almost all of my fotos from the brewery.I had the pleasure to take part on a tour through this lovely brewery.Wonderful things to see and a well guided tour.Beautiful Shire horses at the stables. And I enjoyed also the beer a lot:-)Samuel Smith brewery is the oldest brewery in town and they are very proud of their tradition;which I absolutely liked.

Sam Smith Logo

Sam Smiths was formed in 1758 and is the oldest brewery here. In its backyards are kept Grey Shire Horses that still deliver the beer to local pubs.

Tours are on most of the time, although it does'nt actually say the times

Every year on Novemeber 29th its Victorian Day.
Local folk have stalls and dress in up in Victorian costumes with a prize going to the best dressed.
It lasts all day and there are games, raffles, bargains galore and much, much more, Its great to see in what used to happen yrs ago being re-acted
