Baroosh: Pubs of Uxbridge #4
Newest addition to the drinking places in Uxbridge.
Definitely a bar rather than a pub, but has a nice atmosphere and is a bit less frantic than most of the other pubs at the weekends. Still gets very busy though.
Menu is more interesting than most
The Old Bill: Pubs of Uxbridge #1
Originally the old police station, now a theme pub in the Greene King chain
Gets very busy with a young and lively crowd at weekends, but the music is very loud.
In summer the garden is one of the best in central Uxbridge - but very crowded
Now under new management and a different name.
Went here once and was pretty disgusted by the level of service, so haven't been back for a long time
Good Yarn: Pubs of Uxbridge #2
Typical Wethersppons pub. A converted shop with the cheapest beer in Uxbridge.
Gets very crowded in the evenings at weekends and the food section does a roaring trade at lunchtimes during the week.
Got a reasonable Kebeb shop next door.
Slug & Lettuce (ex. Hogshead): Pubs of Uxbridge #3
Typical of the chain - not too much atmosphere but gets very busy
One of the few town centre pubs to have a pool table.
As with many other Hogshead pubs in the area have now been changed to a Slug and Lettuce. In many ways not a lot else has changed
