There are regular trains from Waterloo Station to Virginia Water which is an affluent village with a lake and is in the borough of Runnymede. The lake probably was named after the VIRGIN Queen (Elizabeth). Once you get off the train head for the lake and you will also find many walking trails through the pleasant woodlands.

    Parking expensive and rare

by mariegriffiths Written Mar 17, 2003

For a country village parking is difficult.
The official car parks cost £1.50. That is everyday, vene at weekends. You can find unoffical parking but then there is a risk of break ins. When the there is a golf tournament at the nearby Wentworth then parking becomes impossible.
