Watch the starlings
As night falls the starlings gather around the Pier. The group gets bigger and bigger as more birds join and the shapes they form as they swoop around the pier are fantastic. These photos do not do justice to the sight.
So many things to do in Aberstwyth
Well maybe that's a slight lie, but, Aber is a great place to spend a few days.
Among it's tourist attractions Aber is home to the Cliff Railway (situated at the North end of the seafront). You can choose either to walk up Constitution hill or take the little train that goes up the cliff! When at the top there is a Cafe and Camera Obscurer. You also get a fantastic view of the town which is always worth a look.
The other main attraction is the steam train that takes you throught the hillside to Devil's Bridge. You catch the train at the far end of the train station and take a very scenic trip to a place where you get to see some bridges, and waterfalls and take a walk through a forest.
Not too far from Aber (out to the North) is Ynyslas - a great streach of sand with sanddunes (always great for running up and down). Before you reach Ynyslas you drive through Borth which has an animalarium. You can get to Borth by train, car or bus.
And to the South is Aberaeron which sells the best honey ice cream I've ever tasted. After you've had your ice cream pay a visit to tjhe aquarium.
