On the way back from visiting St Govan's Chapel, we called into this lovely little pub which is nestled in the picturesque village of Bosherston. We did not eat here on this occasion but the menu did look really appetising. There are also en-suite rooms available here.
The Royal George is a great local pub situated overlooking the millpond just a stones throw away from the mighty Pembroke Castle. We called in here in search for some hearty food after a busy afternoon exploring the Pembrokeshire coast. We were not disappointed at all, on walking through the door we were greeted with the aroma's of just what we were looking for. After seeing someone tucking into Faggots and peas I decided that this was my choice. It was really delicious, Gareth had the mixed grill which looked really nice.
Favorite Dish: The faggots peas and mash was delicious.
We called into The Royal George because the menu looked really nice, it's not a big posh pub, as you walk in the bar is to the left and tables for food to the right, there is a room with a pool table as well.
We ordered a drink at the bar before sitting and reading the menu and specials board. All the food looked really nice on the menu and the food that was being served let us see that this was a great place for real home cooked food and not your usual pre packaged and measured out fayre served in a lot of places these days.
Vicki opted for Faggots with mash after seeing a man tucking into his and i had a mixed grill. Both our meals were delicious and very filling leaving us no room for any Jam Roly Poly or spotted dick.
