I stayed in the travelodge the previous night, the nearest breakfast option being the 'Little chef' across the car park. They sell their 'olympic breakfast' at all their branches - you hand over a big bag of money and they give you some greasy mulch in return. What is 'olympic' about it ? maybe its cooked on five ring ? maybe its never as good as you expect it to be ? maybe you need a medal (an an ambulance) for finishing one.

Far better is to drive about 2 minutes down the road into town and visit Annies which is situated in the local craft centre. Very reasonable breakfast, well cooked and well priced. Nice airy kind of room and chatty staff as well. Well it worked for me.

The cafe carries the usual range of pastries, salads and jackets you would expect for the rest of the day.
