The picturesque small town of Tenby with its narrow streets and the histroic buildings is best explored on foot. The 4 beaches and Castle Hill are in walking distance to the centre of town. There is a nice promenade along the North Beach which an be enjoyed on a stroll.
There are daily ferry services crossing the Irish Sea from Rosslare in Ireland to the Pembrokeshire region. The ferries of Stena Line arrive in Fishguard, whereas Irish Ferries serves Pembroke Dock. Both towns have good train connections to Tenby (about 30-45 minutes).
Tenby can be reached by train from London Paddington in about 4,5 hours. Trains have to be changed in Swansea.
The train station of Tenby is located at Warren Street, which is a 10 minute walk west from the centre of the city.
