Perhaps encouraged by the impressive public art on show in Newport's Streets, it would seem that less savoury members of Newport's population have taken it upon themselves to create their own installations of public art...
I saw this in the mud banks beneath the battlements of Newport Castle - there wasn't just one, but a veritable 'exhibition' of half a dozen shopping trolleys mired in the mud here! I can imagine a modern artist or two jettisoning trolleys of the side in pursuit of that elusive masterpiece - or the Turner Prize...
I said this place was a little rough around the edges... ;-)
Still, if you're not into this kind of art, just pop along when the tide is in and you won't have to look at it. Leave a Comment
