If you want to travel around the town a taxi is the quickest and not too expensive. Public transport is a shamles. No trains in the town (a "loose" connection by bus to the railway station in the next valley is all that available.
If you plan to explore Wales at all bring or hire a car unless you're here for a walking holiday.
