Beware of the winding road from Menai Bridge town to Beaumaris, it zig zags in ways only Welsh roads seem to know how to do. Im some places it takes single lane trafffic and is subject to speed limits.
The pictueresque old Telford Bridge that joins Anglesey to the mainland can get very busy at peak times (particularly July/August).
The newer bridge, that is part of the A55 is much faster, but you can miss Beaumaris altogether unless you take the exit for Menai Bridge after youve crossed the river. Then, drive back on yourslef and see the old Telford Brige on your right and drive to the next big roundabout. Take the road to Beaumaris by turning left just before the garage/petrol station and driving through the narrow streets of Menai Bridge.
