National Trust Shop: bugalugs's Shopping Tip

Aberconwy House and National Trust Shop

If you visit Aberconwy House which is owned by the National Trust, there is also a shop. My husband was browsing through the books and decided to buy one on potatoes!!!! What on earth for I asked, he said there was so many recipes using potatoes! Well he bought the book and when we got outside I said but you dont cook (and me, well I do but its not particularly something I like) were you hungry when you were reading the recipes I asked. Yes he said! So the motto to this is dont read recipe books when you are hungry - lol

The shop is open all year (except christmas) although during January and February it is not open on Mondays and Tuesdays.

What to buy: They sell books, glassware, toys, games, pottery, kitchen utensils and souvenirs, all sorts of things and quite reasonably priced.

    Knight in shining Armour

The Knight Shop in the Centre of Conwy is a fascinating shop selling all sorts of replica swords, armour, sheilds and associated gifts. It's not your average high street shop, I enjoyed taking a look around & was very impressed with their collection of swords - King Arthur's sword Excalibur was my favourite.
