  • Parking on Quayside

by apexblue Updated Feb 25, 2009

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The quayside area is a restricted parking zone, no yellow lines, just signs either end of the quayside entry and not very clear - avoid at all costs as parking attendants will swoop faster than the seagulls!

    the castle carpark
    1 more image

The carpark at the castle costs £1 for one hour; £1.50 for two hours , £2 for 3 hours.

But since Conwy is so small it would be wiser to park your car behind the castle. There are steps and a ramp leading down, then turn right into the painted tunnel Another car park is there near a Walls icecream shop. Here for £2 you can park for 8 hours , or £1.50 for 4 hours, which is more than enough to see all the main sights.

    Anti-slip soled shoes!

by microsensazione Written Apr 19, 2008

When it's rainy or wet, I recommend to use anti-slip soled shoes if you walk along the "outside walls and towers". And remember: do not climb on the stonework!
