    Rain Gear

by cleocat Written Sep 26, 2014

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Protection from rain and always have something warm, even in summer. The British weather is unpredictable. We were lucky and had lovely weather, with one or two quick thunderstorms only. Wales is rather well-known as an area with lots of rain so it is better to be prepared

    Photo Equipment: Lovely photo opportunities

Luggage and bags: Don't stand out from the crowd with your Gucci luggage, get a cheap suitcase from Matalan for 20 GBP.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Men and Women, take walking boots and shoes, warm fleeces, funky Ponchos, or sweat hoodies for those out of town moments.

In town or city, fit in better by wearing the Welsh National Costume (see photos below) or at least one of the various cone shaped hats. Men try out the morph suit with the Welsh flag.

    Essential packing

by louiseanyon Written Jan 22, 2009

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: If ever going to North Wales (or even South Wales) make sure you have a decent umbrella. I would invest in a good one not something from a pound shop as you frequently get strong rain AND strong winds at the same time.
Waterproof jackets and shoes are also a very good idea.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Towels to dry off if the weather's been wet.

Luggage and bags: Waterproof Baggage, not too heavy when wet!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Good shoes, warm clothes, as waterproof as possible. Always remember you may have to change clothes three times a day because you might get drenched!!

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: A hairbrush is a must, and soap, because you can get real muddy and scutty looking after a long hike!

Photo Equipment: A good camera is a must for all the castles and historical things you can visit.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Outdoor clothes definately a must, there aren't really any hot beaches here!

Photo Equipment: This is a great place to snap some photos, so don't forget your photo gear! A polarizing lens to capture the blue sky and green hills would be great.
