Be part of the crowd

by lomi

Don't stand out from the crowd with your Gucci luggage, get a cheap suitcase from Matalan for 20 GBP. Take walking boots, and shoes, warm fleeces, funky Ponchos, or sweat hoodies for out of town. For other times try out the Welsh National Costume (see photos below) and various hats.

Essential packing

by louiseanyon

If ever going to North Wales (or even South Wales) make sure you have a decent umbrella. I would invest in a good one not something from a pound shop as you frequently get strong rain AND strong winds at the same time.Waterproof jackets and shoes are also a very good idea. Towels to dry off if the weather's been wet.

The weather is so changable

Make sure you take at the very least a fleece or a jacket even during the summer months.teh weather can change in an instant in Wales. go prepared. The scenery is great - a digital camera a must A strong tent for those gale force winds

Take a backpack to carry your water and a snack while on one of the walks. Good walking shoes are a must! Wales is pretty Hilly! Welsh pharmacies and hositals are perfectly well equipped so dont worry, just have on you the usual stuff, plasters, bandage insect repellant and antiseptic crea etc Take lots of film or memory cards, There are some awesome sights to take pictures of. A Rain Mac is a must also. The weather here can be quite unpredictable, dont get caught out!

STAY WARM IN WALES!

by elainecox

Waterproof Baggage, not too heavy when wet! Good shoes, warm clothes, as waterproof as possible. Always remember you may have to change clothes three times a day because you might get drenched!! A hairbrush is a must, and soap, because you can get real muddy and scutty looking after a long hike! A good camera is a must for all the castles and historical things you can visit. Outdoor clothes definately a must, there aren't really any hot beaches here!

This is a great place to snap some photos, so don't forget your photo gear! A polarizing lens to capture the blue sky and green hills would be great.
