We called in to The Ship Inn on a visit to Barry, After a walk around Barry Island and the old harbour a nice refreshing drink was called for.
The Pub is quite large with comfortable seating and it has a great Menu.
Although we did not try the food it looked really nice and i certainly fancied the Onion Ring spear which is 20 onion rings on a spike with dips.
The Ship Inn has been used for filming of Gavin and Stacy.
Old pub, very friendly, food is delicious.. they do specials such as ostrich and alligater.. no I've not tried them. Large choice of food the difficulty is in choicing what to have.
Favorite Dish: Lasagne...nearly as good as I make.
Ummmm.. could not believe and he knows how to cook Chinese food...
Updates ... now to enjoy a good Chinese food, I only have to go home ;-)
Here we are Olga and me enjoying a great dinner at his place.
Close to the Old harbour, a classic in Barry, a little more expensive menus as they were 17th inches dishes for 8 pounds each...
I love this old harbour, so we come often this way, but never we stopped to have lunch even if Stace says is nice.
They had a lunch for 3.99 pounds, drinks and desert apart. They let you choose between two different kinds of meat, gammon, turkey or beef, and all the vegetables you wanted. Really good price!
We went for Stace´s birthday with Lynn, Malcolm and Jeremy. We wanted something typical and we had a great steak grill. Also we did not had much time to decide as we arrived that afternoon LOL
Great and spicy take away food, but the best was the company.
We went to the Three bells for a drink and later we went to Bobby's house for a Indian meal.
It was hard to say goodbye for Stace, as they know each other in the last 18 years
