All of Cardiff comes alive at night. It doesn't matter where tou go, the people are friendly, the pubs are lively and the beer is cheap (compared to London) Theme: Live Music

It appears that the Walkabout must have been an old theatre, because as you walk in your on one level, later in the night, the staff open up the bottom level which turns into a huge dance floor...cool ay. One of the many through out UK, this Walkabout has to be one of the better ones. Lots of space, lots of booze, lots of fun!!!
Dress Code in Cardiff is generally smart casual for most nightspots, ie: no jeans, trainers, t-shirts. Most nightspots require a collared shirt, dress trousers and shoes. Aqua, is a fairly new edition to Cardiffs nightlife, Unfortunatly i was unimpressed.Despite a free glas of champagne, the place looked tacky and way to small.i dont know if it was because it was the 1st week of the new year and town is generally quiet, but i was unimpressed. In the busy nightlife of Cardiff, Aqua has a long way to go.
None as far as i know Leave a Comment Theme: NightclubAddress: St Marys StreetDirections: Follow The Castle round, until you see the RBS.

Wednesdays, this irish pub stages informal live performances from local musicians. At the moment there is a nice celtic/gipsy band I like Leave a Comment Theme: Live Music

After the all day study or work, the best thing to do at night is to find a pub or club with good music, drink and chatting and dancing with friends. If you like Lantin music and Sasa dance: Cuba is your best choice. Every Tue night is Latin night, also they have coach to teach you Sasa 8pm-10pm. The entery fee is 2 pound, entre before 10pm no charge. ( Cuba is located in the small lane between Haha restaurant and Hilton hotel) If you like pop music: Liquid is ur good choice, which is located on the right hand side of the end of St. Mary street (in front of the Castle). The entry fee is 5 pound. Mon. is student night, with student ID can get discount. If you like jezz music: There is a jezz pub has live jezz band every Tue or Wed (cannot remember, you can get weekly programme list from the pub). 1 or 2 pound entry fee, depends on the show. If you have no idea, you can just walk alone St. Mary Street and just pop in any club/pub you like. That's fun, but be careful, don't get yourself TOO drunk. :p Oop, there is a warning. If you go out on Fri. night, it's very very difficult to get a taxi. No solution...i know it's a big problem. So it's better you live in the city centre, so you can just walk home. :)

Creation and Cantaloop now closed for 6 months, re-opening in June this year under the new name of Oceana.

This is the cheesiest place in Cardiff.Which now does a pole dance competition, female wrestling, any old thing really. Once inside you can either dance in one of three massive dance floors, drink in a number of bars,or chill out on comfortable sofas in the chill out area. There is a charge to get in and a dress code does apply.Special drink promotion nights run throughout the week.
No Denim jeans or trainers.if you look young carry some id and dont annoy the bouncers. Leave a Comment
