Favorite thing: Of course we can not forget the shops....
This little ones where you could find anything you wanted. Still in some villages of Spain you can find "Ultramarinos" something similar lol
Even here, you can see the shops for the pasts centuries.. great for an addictive shopper as me lol
The Bee shelter
Favorite thing: Another building brought to the Museum.
The Museum has as norm that unless a building is at risk of demolition, it is left in its original setting, not moved to the museum.
This is a great way to preserve the heritage
Favorite thing: At St Fagans you can learn about the past as you can see in real. Is great specially for kids, so the heritage does not get lost. You will see excursion of Schools of all over Europe.
Here at the Mill, you can see more pics at the travelogue
The Old church
Favorite thing: See the priest (Father Beach_dog) giving sermons to the notty attendants lol!!!
Yes I guess is me ... I can not hide.... but I promise I did not repent ...
He was not enough convinced ;-)
Old Pig Sty
Favorite thing: This was another of the nearly 40 various buildings that were moved here from around Wales.
I had never seem before a circular pigsty.
Tinted material cottages
Favorite thing: Another building preserved where they used to tint leather.
You can also see outside the pools, and of course smell them lol
Favorite thing: Is great how they have preserve and the way they are distributed all over the museum.
Around 40 Ha. all separated and in a tour order...
The Celtic Village (june 2002)
Favorite thing: Here you can even seen how they used to live even in a primitive Celtic Village.
See my travelogue for Beach_dog´s Kennel
The Farm House
Favorite thing: The museum is alive, here at the Farm you can find all the animals, and all the instruments needed for the agriculture as if they were ready to use in any moment.
Fondest memory: At the Pond
The old school
Favorite thing: It is a late 19th Century school. I can imagine the kids walking hours distance to go to learn.... and now we even take the books in a trolley, we get soft... lol
The old post office
Favorite thing: I do not know how slow was on that times the post, But knowing Marbella post office at 2003, it can really not be worst!!!! (3 weeks a letter from Marbella to Marbella)
