    Fireplace at the School

    by Carmela71 Updated Apr 4, 2011

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Imagine the cold mornings, after some hours walking to get to the school through snowed paths... This would be paradise!

I saw in Spain another school with a similar fireplace, I guess we have things in common.

House of late 19th, early 20th Century

    by Carmela71 Updated Apr 4, 2011

Inside of the house from the late 19th, early 20th Century.

See the typical decoration of a house on that dates. The typical figures on the shelves... I can see my grandma talking about a few she had from her family.

    I love that chimney.

Is the row of houses decorated on styles different between them of 30 years, starting about 1830 and finishing on the 1960?s.

You have examples of furnishings depending of the different years.

Olga and me for the siesta

One of my favourite cottages that you would see in many pics at this site had this bedroom.

I think is around 1700 , the buildings are fully furnished with the artefacts and furniture appropriate to the times.

    Steam Train

Another typical example of what Saint Fagans Museum wanted to preserve.

With it, they used to bring the coal from the valleys to the ports south of Wales.

    The same cottage of before

You can see the cottage from outside.

This roof is called Thatched Roof, is very typical on some areas of the countryside of Uk (and now being even popular in Spain lol)
