The Sycamore Tree Inn: A Hidden Delight
This lovely Country Pub is situated in the picturesque village of Colwinston. The inn dates to at least 1650 and in May 1865 The Philanthropic Order of True Ivorites Friendly Society was established and registered here. We stumbled across this lovely place whilst out for a country drive in the Vale and decided to stop here for lunch. The Inn has kept it's traditional feel while offering a cosy feeling. There are some lovely leather easy chairs surrounding a fireplace in the restaurant area - a perfect place to sit and relax after your meal. There is also a nice beer garden overlooking the Medieval village church. We chose Chilli Con carne from a great looking menu. This came with chips and rice, it was homecooked and delicious. The service was prompt and the staff really friendly. I would defiinitely visit here again and would recommend it to others.
