Favorite thing: After your tired of the castle and shops walk past the statue of Queen Victoria, pass Christopher Wrens Guild Hall on the left towards Sheet Street and you will come to a little road off to the left that leads to the real front gates of the Castle. You pass one of the best pubs in the area. Just past the pub ( 2 brewers from memory) turn right up the walk, and walk and walk all the way up to the Copper horse.
If your lucky the Queen will pass you in a car or a carriage on her way to the Lodge in Windsor Great Park. If your there in Royal Ascot week you definitely will see her if you time it right. Either way take a picnic on a summers day and keep looking back for miles as the Castle gets smaller. Best free thing to do in Windsor.
Fondest memory: Having too much to eat and drink in the excellent Tapas Bar in the old converted Royal Station, excellent.

If in London, a visit to Windsor Castle is a must. Beautiful little town, charming streets and cafes, plus maybe, you get to stumble upon the royalty.

Nice little town. Lots of restaruants and shops near the castle and around the train station. Windsor Castle was amazing!
