The Duck Pond at Wroxton and its spring have been the source of water for the village for hundreds of years. The villagers take great care of the ducks living there and have even built a thatched hut to protect them from the night visits of the local fox. There is even the 'Slow Down, Ducks Crossing' sign in the street, dating back to the time when the ducks lived in a cottage garden and had to cross Mills Lane to get to their hut. Another lodger of the pond is a terrapin, or a freshwater turtle. What a lovely place to visit if you have children with you!
