I called in here for a cold lager and black on a very hot day. Yeadon Tarn is a two minute walk away. As it was a Wednesday afternoon there were only a few people in the bar but the barman was friendly and the Carling very cold.

The Tarn has great views of the planes taking off and landing at Leeds and Bradford Airport.
Yeadon tarn is best known for its water sports. There is sailing, kayaking and fishing. Yeadon sailing club which was founded in 1928 have a free sailing tasters on a Tuesday during the summer. There is no age restrictions but anybody wanting to try their hand at sailing must be able to swim.
Sunday afternoon there are free brass band concerts.

Yeadon town hall is a beautiful Victorian town hall that was built in 1880 and is used for concerts and public meetings. The design of the building was won in a competition by William Hill of Leeds. There were 200 entrants. It was refurbished in 1999.
