The second is solve the solution....That's what I did....The other churchs, have the same rule but only in Vatican said to me to wear pants. The Ladies, have to cover the shoulders. If You use normal skirts, that's ok.

In St. Peter´s Square (Piazza San Pietro) his greatest creation, Bernini has performed one of the world´s most excinting pieces of architectural orchestration. The sweeping curves of the colonnades reach out to the uneding stream of pilgrims from Rome itself and the whole world, urbi et orbi, to take them into the bosom of the church beyond. In a rare opportunity for concentrated effort by one man on such a gigantic project, Bernini completed the 284 travertine columns, 88 pilasters and 140 statues of the saints in just 11 years, from 1656 to 1667. Stand on either of the stone disks set in the pavement on each side of the red granite Egyptian obelisk to appreciate the harmony of the quadruple rows of Doric columns, so perfectly aligned that they seem like a single row.

Do you know that once you enter the grounds of St Peter's Square or the Vatican Museum, you have effectively left Italy?? The Vatican currency is the Lira (like Italy). ;-)) Do mail a postcard home to your family and friends from the Vatican City. But you need to buy the Vatican City stamps... If you do so, you are also contributing to THE major source of income for the Vatican. This is good. And I'm sure our good Lord will bless you abundantly for helping out and blessing these folks.... Do plan to spend your entire morning, at least, at St. Peter's Basilica; the Vatican Museum and possibly (if you still have stamina) Castel San Angelo. It's even better if you can spare an entire day just exploring the entire Vatican City. 2 hours at St. Peter's will allow you time to climb to the lantern. The Vatican Museum require another 2 hours (minimum).... And the Castel needs less than an...

Last, but not least, The Sixtine Chapel. After many years of restoration is finally completly open to the public. When I was there, 'The Last Judgement' wall was not finished. This controversial restoration, has taken almost 20 years, and many art critics did not like, what the art technicians, were doing to this painting. One thing is certain, it needed to be cleaned and brought back to life. Michaelangelo's masterpiece is certainly one of the icons of the Renaissance.

by Pierangelo

Saint Peter said that there is no indulgence for me and that I must go to the flames of the hell and join Pope Bonifacio VIII placed in the hell by the writer Dante Alighieri in the Divina commedia. Let us see what Dante says about Rome in the 1300 Jubilee proclamed by Bonifacio VIII. In Inferno XVIII.28-33 he tells us about traffic control for the pilgrims flocking there.
