I can only imagine the activity being prayer. You can pray anywhere, at any time, about anything. Of course Jesus is our mediator. It is best if your heart and soul are cleaner than the clothes you are wearing.
From what I understand, the Pope is not much of a party animal, so the nightlife at the Vatican is pretty much minimized. I think that any unscheduled nightlife would also be somewhat illegal. Dark clothes, stocking mask and nightvision goggles? (ie - Bruce Willis in Hudson Hawk or something of the sort)
Vatican City is the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church, so nightlife, as such, is problematic. However, Christmas Eve, the Saturday night vigil mass of Easter Sunday, Holy Thursday, and New Years Eve (the vigil of Mary, the Mother of God in the Church,) are all events that take place in Vatican City at night. For the faithful, they are important. For the curious, they are visually stunning events.
NIghtlife in Vatican... hmm.. that´s something I have to see! *haven´t seen yet...* It´s a Vatican night club party...Use your imagination!heehee What about a dress of Pope´s? (with all due respect, sir.)
This friends here torturing himself day and night in this city...Some say he's a gay, also said he's a super painter eventually died with his work, got to find out. Also they told me this guy spent 8 years on lying on the roof to paint those flying peoples, some of them naked with a finger reaching each other, wierd but very famous, don't try to understand if you want to be like him, oh no! I'm confuse, what is this?
Well, there is no real nightlife in Castel Gandolfo. But until it closes around midnight, I'd like to recommend 'L'ideale' (sp?), next to the carabiniery station. The staff is very friendly and english-speaking, although they honor it if you try it in italian. They have a variety of sweet things and some different beers.Nice people. You can directly look at the Papel Palace. As you like.
We thoroughly enjoyed walking around Vatican City at night! And thanks to Gianluca I could even take some decent pics with his tripod!!! Grazie tanto, Gianluca!
There is this really nice hip-hop club in the Vatican state...j/k!!! This is the ceiling in one of the many hallways of the Vatican. Everything is lined with gold!
I do not think there is much night life in The Vatican City, but here is a pic inside....even the museum closed at 4pm.
You would think that Vatican City, the home of the Holy See which is the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church, would be a bit short on nightlife, but there are two...
