I loved it at the top! Esp., after I climbed all those steps! Wow! What a hike! The view is fabulous...so even if you have to take the lift to the top...go for it!

'Radio Vatican' is there in the middle of the picture - - - and have a look at the lovely gardens (This pic was taken on march 3rd, 2002)



A small museum with many many historical items located in St Peter's Basillica.
Many of the former Popes are interred in the bowels of the Vatican. Many of the sarcophogi are very ornate, and the history of the popes stretch back through centuries of time!
There is not much off the beaten path that I found, but here is a view.. where I think the priests reside.
