by kayleigh06 Well I wouldn't really call this sports travel, BUT when you climb to the top of St Peters Basilica it's probably an equivalent of at least an hours work in the gym!! But when you get there it was worth all that work because the view is amazing! Its definatly not for the weak, because once you get so far you can't really turn back. If you don't think you can manage walking up there, you can take a lift to the top of the basilica, which is about 300 steps, which will cost you 7 Euros (to take the lift) or 5 Euros (to walk up the steps), then to get up and out to the top of the cupola is about another 320 steps n there isn't a lift up to there.
Bring a decent pair of trainers or comfortable shoes because you will be doing a lot of walking up and down a lot of steps up to the top and back down again. Theme: OtherAddress: St Peters Square
