Vernissage flea market: find EVERYTHING under the sun, and then some...
To say that Vernissage has everything under the sun for sale is not much of an exaggeration. Everything from vast collections of used electronic circuit board components to chemicals for laboratories to Soviet relics will have you swearing you could find the components for a nuclear bomb, but you'll probably be more interested in the large handicrafts selection, carpets and memorabilia.Located near Republic Square, off Nalbandyan Street by the Metro, the entire first block has little of interest to tourists. The strange collection of items for sale however is irresistible for photographers, who can probably never match some of the collections of random items carefully laid out on a cloth or sheet.The second large block, starting at Hanrapetutyan Street begins with books and flags, embroidery and carpets, and continues to sections with t-shirts, backgammon/chess boards, dolls, paintings,...
