Guys, Wear Your Pants
While this is a custom throughout Azerbaijan with Baku becoming more relaxed about it, it is expected that all men to wear long pants when out in public. In other words, no shorts. It does not matter if it is so hot that the Devil himself would ask for some ice, if you are male, you are expected to wear pants that cover your legs. I tried to find out the reason for this, but as one of my students told me, "That is just the way it is here."
