Great Time. Set in what is supposed to be an underground mining cave. Band plays just about every night, they play covers of many new songs and a few good old ones. Staff is incredible, led by manager Ryan, who will go out of his way to make sure you have a good time. Specials nightly. Good wings cheap drinks.

Nobody would ever imagin how frantic and wild nighttlife in Bahrain is. Most of the locals are unaware of this because financially they are unable to afford it. But if you are a tourist or financially secure, you can have a wonderful nightlife here in Bahrain, most probably cheaper than Dubai or even other Asian countires. If you are European and you long for European atmosphere, go to Gulf Hotel Sherlock Holmes bar or Crowne plaza or The Irish bar at Diplomat. However, my best place is The Irish bar near Mansouri Mansions. If you want to have a look at a classical pub, go to Old Beam, almost attached to the Irish bar near Mansouri Mansions. But I dont adivise you to go there for a drink because it is in a complete mess.
For a good Euopean dinner, go to Upstaris Downstairs, Vins Maestro, or Camelot, all in Adliya area, Copper Chimeny for Indian food, Senior Pacos for Mexican, AlAbraj for Arabic food. If you are a hot bachelor like most of the American Marines and you desperately need a company for the night, then the nearest place for you is Ramee Hotel next to the American base, or Albustan Hotel near the Palace. There are tens of Thai and Chinese ladies there. However, if you are Asian, or black , then you better go to the hotels on Exhibition Rd. The best ones are Phonecia, Smiramis, El-Salam and Omer Alkhayyam. Very rarely you will find Europeans in this area except of course, for the African Americans who look like the locals only if they keep their mouths shut.

Ric’s downstairs bar is smoky and small and it will depend on your mood as to whether you find it intimate or crammed. It’s all friendly and relaxed enough – walls are adorned with sports shirts, flags and graffiti; indeed you’re invited to scribble on the walls yourself.
Meanwhile huge screens relay all the big match action to the well-rounded 30-something American and British expatriates who frequent the joint. The place may be looking a little ragged these days, but in a strange way this is all part of Ric’s charms. If you’ve just arrived in the Kingdom and are hoping to meet and mingle with other expats, then Ric’s should be your first port of call. During the day and early evening Wrangler's dark and empty bar has a charm all its own and it is easy to imagine that you are in small town USA. The food is good and during the day the service is swift. It is at night however that Wranglers comes alive. On weekend nights, the dance floor that looked of adequate size earlier, looks tiny in comparison to the number of people bumping and grinding to R'n B and hip hop.
