There is no dress code in Bahrain but mostly bahraini woman still wearing an abaya with head veil as to fallow and respect their tradition as Moslem and so bahraini man still wore a thobe as always spotless.

We passed this mosque each time we went to the US Navy base on Bahrain. It was quite an impressive structure. Keep in mind that Muslims do not allow Non-Muslims to enter into their Mosques. There is no problem with taking pictures of the outside.

While we were in Bahrain, the rap star “Coolio” came to perform a concert. It just so happened that he stayed in the same hotel I stayed in on the one day I got a hotel room. Eric, Dwayne, Joel and the EW troop decided one day to get a room and stay in town for the night. Since we didn’t know Coolio was in town, we couldn’t get tickets to see the show. However, when I was driving around looking for a parking space, Eric saw Coolio and his entourage exiting the hotel and heading for their van. Eric got out of the car and walked over to them but by the time he got there Coolio was already seated in the back of the van. When he saw that Eric had approached the van and was interested in taking a photo, Coolio got out of the van and had Eric give his camera to one of his bodyguards to take a picture of the two of them. We were both surprised that Coolio took the time to get out of his van and as a result I will always have a good impression of the man. I am going to try to get in contact with Eric in the future to get a copy of that photo scanned for this site. Below is a photo of the Mosque from the window in my hotel room.
