Recommended by my friend call_me_rhia, Maki was certain to be exquisite. It is located in what is now the country's most luxurious shopping centre, MODA Mall, below the Bahrain World Trade Centre towers, and is part of a small chain with restaurants in Bahrain and Kuwait. I made it here for a very late lunching Nov 2012, so I was the only one dining there, and naturally, the service was attentive. The sushi & sashimi were fresh and excellent, some traditional and some innovative. The latter reminded me of some of the great Sushi recipes in California ( Katsuya comes to mind).
This restaurant has the all inclusive menu which means unlimited food and drinks (both soft and alcoholic beverages). Price per person is 13 BD which may sound quite expensive, but still it's worth the money you pay. The waitresses bring in all sorts of chinese cuisine until you are full and you have many options for drinks including beer and wine. For a sumptious dinner, I suggest trying Bambu restaurant.
Favorite Dish: All meals served are exquisite.
Why not do the karokoe thing in one hand and roll your spring rolls in the other. It all gets very messy and songs are spat. Oh well, just wash it down with the beer.
Favorite Dish: Kim chi and make your own spring rolls.
As I have already explained, my BEST restuarant is the hong kong. It is a chinese place with a smart/casual dress code.
Other places are: Uncle Abe's Pizza, Round Table Pizza, Sizzlers, and tonnes more, but is you want, you can have a good old McDonalds!
