The food is good and it was well presented. Nice ambience & well groomed food servers though they were a little bit unattentive with regrads to getting orders.
Big serving of food (good for 2) and refillable drinks.

Ponderosa Steakhouse offers a good selection for buffet from soup, salad, main course and dessert.
They also have Ala Carte Menu for their steaks and other specialties.
The only drawback when dining here is that, they only have one waitress who attends to all the customers. So, expect delays of orders and other requests.

This Moroccan restaurant is located in the Delmon Hotel, (Delmon International Hotel
Tel: +973 17224000); it is a cosy quiet place with discreet live music, having not a lot of choice, but what they have is good; let the staff give you advice on the best food of the day and if it is “Couscous Royal”, do not hesitate; the staff is Moroccan, so there are people who know how to prepare couscous; add a bottle of Moroccan wine, and you will be happy for the evening.
Favorite Dish: Couscous and tajine

Gulafshan serves tasty Iranian food with great views of the Persian Gulf and Manama coastline. The restaurant is in a circular building with ancient Persian decoration to provide seemingly authentic atmosphere and experience. While the decoration is a touch on the tacky side, the food is definitely authentic. Outdoor terrace seating is available for periods with clement weather. The restaurant building and sign are clearly visible when driving along King Faisal Highway (northern Manama corniche).

Best restaurants are as usual (at least for me!) the small ones in the crowded streets, where you can be sure the food is fresh. You have choice between, Indian Pakistanis , Filipinos and other eastern restaurants; real Arabic restaurants are hard to find if there are any.The best ones are in the Suq area.
Don’t be afraid try every Indian restaurant, they are very simple, but very good, everywhere in the Suq.

A pretty good place to have a very nice and cheap shwarma. We got there in the morning and they said Shwarma would be served in the afternoon so we got back for dinner. Staff there were really nice. Shwarma tasted great. Fruit juice was fresh and delicious. I can't remember how much everything cost in total but it was surely less than $5 for 3 of us!

If you're in the mood for a light meal, superb post-meal coffee and dessert, or just a change of pace, Cafe Lilou could be just the place. Don't look for alcohol here - it isn't served - but if you can get over that deficiency, you're in for a delightful culinary experience. EVERYTHING on the menu is good. Pick and enjoy!
Favorite Dish: Chocolate molleaux...dessert that is sinful.

I visited numerous Filipino restuarants in Bahrain and Bahay Kubo is by far my favorite. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere is great. I only tried a couple of their dishes but what I did have was truely wonderful.
The wait staff is very friendly and they try to cater to your every need. I gave them a call and they picked me up and also dropped me off. This was great because the taxi rates in Bahrain are pretty high. The actual savings that I recieved actually paid for my meal!
The restaurant is extremely family friendly and is also family run... I believe.
The parking is not great but it is worth it. I don't think parking is good anywhere in Bahrian as I had issues with most places I went to.
Bahay Kubo also seems understaffed so the wait might be a while. The good thing about it though, is it is very informal which could be a plus for some and a minus for others. At first I thought "what kind of service is this" and then I got more used to it. I saw people getting up and getting their own drinks at times but really enjoyed it once I realized how good of people they are. I had a really good time there and would recommend it to anyone.
Favorite Dish: The Crispy Pata was the best I ever had. It is so crispy and also very juicy. It comes out in a traditional way and looks so good you just want to dive in. The sauce they serve with it really complements it and is probably the best that I have had.
