Cafe Lilou: Exquisite coffee and chocolates with French cuisin

by AnvilVinny

If you're in the mood for a light meal, superb post-meal coffee and dessert, or just a change of pace, Cafe Lilou could be just the place. Don't look for alcohol here - it isn't served - but if you can get over that deficiency, you're in for a delightful culinary experience. EVERYTHING on the menu is good. Pick and enjoy! Chocolate molleaux...dessert that is sinful.

Plums Restaurant: Steakhouse and More

by MM212

Plums is a very posh restaurant at the Ritz Carlton hotel. The international cuisine served is mostly steak and beef, along with other specialties, all accompanied by an extensive wine list. The food is simply delicious, and the service is top quality and on par with the best restaurants in Europe/US. The dimly lit dining room is accentuated with plum-coloured furniture and provides an ideal atmosphere for an intimate dinner. This is my favourite restaurant in Bahrain.

Ponderosa Steakhouse: Buffet

by Cielo_Algaeed

Ponderosa Steakhouse offers a good selection for buffet from soup, salad, main course and dessert. They also have Ala Carte Menu for their steaks and other specialties. The only drawback when dining here is that, they only have one waitress who attends to all the customers. So, expect delays of orders and other requests.Buffet: 3.85Dinars / adult 1.90Dinars / child Buffet Selection:Brocolli Soup or Chicken Corn SoupTacos, Salads, Onion RingsBeef Stroganoff and Chicken BarbequePasta, breaded chickenIce cream, creme brulee

La Maison: Coffee Shop

by Cielo_Algaeed

Tired of Shopping? Well, a nice cup of Cappuccino and a slice of a Walnut Pie will definitely wrap up your day. La Maison is located at the first level of Al Seef Mall near Debenhams. Lots of flavored coffee to choose from. So, grab a seat & enjoy your coffee .

marrakech: Aaaah, the couscous

by kokoryko

This Moroccan restaurant is located in the Delmon Hotel, (Delmon International HotelTel: +973 17224000); it is a cosy quiet place with discreet live music, having not a lot of choice, but what they have is good; let the staff give you advice on the best food of the day and if it is “Couscous Royal”, do not hesitate; the staff is Moroccan, so there are people who know how to prepare couscous; add a bottle of Moroccan wine, and you will be happy for the evening. Couscous and tajine

many of them: try the small restaurants

by kokoryko

Best restaurants are as usual (at least for me!) the small ones in the crowded streets, where you can be sure the food is fresh. You have choice between, Indian Pakistanis , Filipinos and other eastern restaurants; real Arabic restaurants are hard to find if there are any.The best ones are in the Suq area.Don’t be afraid try every Indian restaurant, they are very simple, but very good, everywhere in the Suq. All Indian food

Woody's: Woody's

by thelittlevoice

A pretty good place to have a very nice and cheap shwarma. We got there in the morning and they said Shwarma would be served in the afternoon so we got back for dinner. Staff there were really nice. Shwarma tasted great. Fruit juice was fresh and delicious. I can't remember how much everything cost in total but it was surely less than $5 for 3 of us! Shwarma

Gulafshan Restaurant: Iranian Cuisine by the Shore

by MM212

Gulafshan serves tasty Iranian food with great views of the Persian Gulf and Manama coastline. The restaurant is in a circular building with ancient Persian decoration to provide seemingly authentic atmosphere and experience. While the decoration is a touch on the tacky side, the food is definitely authentic. Outdoor terrace seating is available for periods with clement weather. The restaurant building and sign are clearly visible when driving along King Faisal Highway (northern Manama corniche).
