If you want to dive in Bahrain, look us Scubamaster in Manama. The shop is co-owned by a local named Ahmed AlKhalfan. He is a great instructor, patient and a great teacher. His english is great and he has great facilities and a decent boat to get to places on. His customer service is unparalled and I did my Open Water there with him. I highly recommend anyone diving in the area look him up. He has a full shop with lots of toys to purchase and the people he dives with are phenomenal. I highly recommend him. Send me an email if you want more details. I regularly take trips there to dive because its a good time although Manama is not known for its great dive spots.

One of our main reason why we want to visit Bahrain is to experienced their beach and as a beach lover we tried to find private resort through internet though Wednesday is their weekend all accommodations were fully booked, but we still tried to search through map until we found the Al Jazaer beach, Bahrain's best-known public beach better known as Zallaq beach.
This beach is rocky, there are few chalet it should be used for public also has a washroom and toilet facilities, it is quite cool we spent a couple of time here took a pictures and we observed people were swimming and jetsking because there is a yacht club nearby.

You can almost feel the spray in your face. When you see a real one crashing over waves it makes you realize that there cannot be one single Bahraini seamn who gets seasick. These things bob like corks in the water.

Being an island, and since the early economy
of Bahrain depended on fishing and pearl-diving,
there are still lots of boats and fishermen to be seen.
If you think a typical boat is called a Dhow, you are wrong.
They have never heard of the word here,
and call the large wooden vessels 'Boom'.
Here's some of the 'maze' type fish traps, which are similar
to some excavated from prehistoric sites in England.
The fish swim into the fences, and can't find
their way out again,
so are left floundering
at low tide for the trap owner to collect.

Have a look at Persian Gulf. But do not expect to find any exotic beaches here.

Another type of fish trap is this large wire cage.
It has an entrance hole which narrows so the fish can't get out again.
I don't know if they bait this trap in some way.
