One of the most known touristic places in Bahrain is the Tree of Life. It´s said to be that it could have been the place where the Garden Eden had been.
It´s nothing more than one of the bigger trees (it´s not the only one!) in the semi dessert. The place is like most of the places dirty and ... just a tree!
Unique Suggestions: When you drive there with your own car be careful not to get stucked in the sand. There are a few houses nearby, but not too much cars or trucks to pull you out!

Not really a trap, but the Tree of Life is pretty disappointing. It's supposed to be this great mystery of how this one tree can grow in the desert off by itself. Maybe the green golf course half a mile away takes away some of the mystique...

You'll see in most publicized tourist attraction: The Tree of Life. After being 3 years in Bahrain, I thought I should pay the old tree a visit, as it's not polite to live so long in a country without seeing its marks. We drove in the sun till the road went out of asphalt but still determined to see the monumental tree. Finally we glimpsed at the Tree of life on a hilltop with nothing extraordinary in or around. To our good fortune our car wheels got stuck in the desert and we enjoyed the view stuck in our car waiting for the toll truck to pull us out...
