There is currently no regular airline connection to Sukhumi and Abkhazia, due to the disputed status of the this small Caucasus region republic...Slow trains can get you there from Moskva, plus frequent tourist coaches from Sochi in summertime.There are round boat trips to Novi-Aphon for Russians , also starting from Sochi.Double entry tourist visa for Russia is required for western travellers, but travelling alone without Russian language skills is not a very good idea...
