The Octopus Cafe is an interesting mosaiced open space. The tables and chairs as is the menu are rather limited, but the building is enough for the look. It was designed by the Georgian sculptor Zurab Tzereteli also known as the country's first millionaire. None the less the prices here won't blow your budget.
I enjoyed the company of a small group of Abkhazian refugees who shared their stories of that region of Georgian, they are still unable to return to. They had spent over ten years in Batumi - now thats a long time to spend at a beach resort.
Favorite Dish: There was no Octopus on the menu, but there was beer, chicken salad and Ajara khachapuri - which was exactly the reason why I came to Batumi in the first place for. This is the Georgian national dish with a difference as it has a freshly openned egg ontop.

If you are in Batumi, you really must visit this place. I really liked it. There is a worm and nice atmosphere. And the food, drinks are served very well.
I’ve tasted salad “Cesar” and also Pizza, which of course doesn’t taste like real Italian, but is delicious. You can have different drinks also.
What is interesting in this cafe is that prices are low and quality is high.
While being there you fill like being in old Batumi…
Favorite Dish: You can taste different kind of dishes, starting from Georgian food, European salads and ending with good deserts

Favorite Dish: Ajara khachapuri - which was exactly the reason why I came to Batumi in the first place for. Khachapuri is the Georgian national staple and from different region there are some variations. The Ajara region in the country's SW has one variety with a difference as it has a freshly openned egg ontop.

Usually Adjarians (the residents of Ajara region where Batui is the caital) are not famous for their either culinary skills or service. But.... Only few days ago I discovered a place which is really something: if someone wants to try the best of the Georgian food he must definitely visit restaurant Sazandari which is on Era St. (there is the second Sazandari as well but I have not been there).
Favorite Dish: Food was so tasty that I can definitely say that it was the best I ever tried in Georgia. Among the best make sure to order Imeruli Khachapuri, Kupati, and Pilmeni in Kotani. The latter is definitely not Georgian but it was unbelievably tasty - make sure to order it...

Outlet of a chain of restaurants we found in Tbilisi a few days earlier.
Large selection of Georgian and International favourites in comfortable, friendly surroundings and at a good price too.
This one in Batumi particularly enjoyable with live music when we were there.
Fave dish - Lobi, a kidney bean stew, lovely!

Out for a walk along the promenade and spotted some brewing kettles glinting in the sunshine, had to stop and investigate, obviously!
A light and dark beer on offer brewed to a Bavarian recipe we were told and yes it was very good, so good we stopped off for lunch on the way to the airport!
So, both meals here were excellent, large and very tasty and at a very reasonable price plus, it's right on the promenade with a good beergarden as well, this is a lovely place to visit, enjoyed ourselves here, a good place to find!

One of the interesting restaurants which has bar+cafe+restaurant combination. Its located just near by sea on the left side of Marina Hotel ( Batumi Boulevard area - Ninoshvili/Old Khimshisahvili Street ).The owner speaks perfect English and all people are very helpful. The most important thing is this retaurant has all people which you will definetely need in Batumi.Bar tender has a relative who is a high ranked police officer ( you will need for sure because most of Georgian police doesnt understand English and you can easily get a traffic penalty while driving ).Other people who are working in that restaurant knows Batumi real estate are ( affordable prices ) very well.Plus nobody asks for commission or money for any kind of help ( no chance for getting ripped off ).
Another thing is friendly customer service.Even if you are drunk they give you a ride wherever you go in Adjara region.
Other people may think different but I believe this middle class restaurant is much different than all other.
Favorite Dish: Khacapuri ( perfect )
Shish Kabab ( excellent )
Ostra ( some kind of local meat food with sauce - perfect )
Local salads ( perfect )
