İ'm not saying you should be rude to locals in a country lıke Georgia, but be aware that there are many people who want your money. Judge me as you wıll, I'm just going to tell you what happened to me and my friend in Bat'umi. Being young and naive, we wanted to go party on the beach. Well, a friendly young man came to talk to us. He introduces us to his frıends and all is well. Durıng this tıme, we've been drinking. We try to leave and they follow us. They tell us the police are coming and shove us in a doorway. Then they robbed us at knifepoınt. Thıs applies here as it does anywhere: Don't get too cozy with people you dont know...

The park behind the beach is a great place to walk in daylight, but once you've taken enough photos of those stunning Batumi sunsets, it is probably best to make your way back into town before it gets too dark. With no streetlights, the park is incredibly dark, and as with all dark places the world over, better to play safe than sorry. Leave a Comment
