Meteo station is the place which was actively used by the scientists in the Soviet times for carrying out various scientific researches and observations. The location is remarkable by the fact that at the time being this is the only structure on the territory of Lagodekhi Protected Area giving an opportunity for an overnight.
The place gives a very nice view over the neighboring gorges. Good eye may allow people to notice tours on opposite ridges.

I would name this lake as a major attraction of Lagodekhi Protected Area. It is located within 25 km walking distance from the base (Lagodekhi Protected Area Administration Building).
The lake is located at the border with Russia. Half of it actually is located in Russia though unlike many places noone is standing at the border (at least we could not see anyone). Considering very tense relations between us and Russians one can expect meeting Russian border guards there in a foreseable future...
