Most travellers dont have to wait very long before they experience a black out condition that is according to the Georgians solved with a few candles and pints of beer. It is a really fun way to meet the locals because almost anyone that is walking by on the road steps into a pub or local watering hole ie sometimes it is a hall or neighbours house and waits for the powercut to finish. If you are in a place like Tbilisi and the power goes out then you could find yourself sitting next to the most random Georgian people you could ever imagine but it makes the experience more interesting. I personally spent several nights meeting the locals in this way making my overall experience extremely memorable.
Anything black! The moment you step into the country you will notice that it is like one huge funeral. Men, women and young people love black and you will find yourself leaving your yellows and light blues in the backpack :) Leave a Comment
