 jkseddon Says:  The place I stayed was near Beit ol-Moqaddas Square on the SW side of the shrine complex. There seem to be thousands of hotels in the city. Not all will take foreigners and many cheaper ones (like mine) didn’t have signs in English (which is why I can’t remember the name!)

 Nourin Says:  Sure Mashhad hotel is a bit nicer than other hotels in budget class, but 30 dollar for a double room doesn't give you much. The entrance is a little fancier. Breakfast is charged 250 toman per guest which is great.
