Abidor: Good affordable hotel in Sanandaj

Abidor: Good affordable hotel in Sanandaj, Sanandaj

jkseddon Says:  There are hotels around Enqelab Square. I stayed at the Abidor for 50,000. It's just south of Enqelab on Ferdosi, maybe 30 meters south of the square on the west side. Rooms come with your own shower and toilet and TV.

Favorite thing: Sanadaj has little in the way of formal attractions, the people itself are ifact the only good reason to come here. Most of them are kurds, and you will see many of the woman using a lot more colourfull dress than used elsewhere. The peole here, kurdish as they are, are not too fond of the regime in Tehran, they want their independence as mutch as kurds elsewhere. They are not afraid of talking about it either. "Somewhewre" in the old bazar, it is impossible to give an exact location, there is a small teahouse where you can hear as mutch as you want, and talk as mutch as you like. The people are almost too friendly. In this area i even got some offers of brandy, witch is not wise to accept in a dry country. The first offer was followed by a kindly meant warning about the penalty of drinking-22 lashes they said. Spending an evening with the kurds are somthing you will remember, it also is a great break from all the architectural wounders to be enjoyed elsewhere.
