Relatively Safe Place
Knowing the situation in Iraq and how dangerous is at the moment; Erbil is really a safe place to be. There are no killings, kidnapping or bombs exploding but yet a person has to remain vigilant... Don't go wondering in the roads by yourself without having somebody from the locals who knows the area and speaks the language (Kurdi) to give you guidance. You certainly don't want to end up in Mosel or Karkuk which are also in the north but have a lot of trouble...
