I find that under the bed or in the bath is the best nightlife spot in Baghdad. Sandbags and two layers of 3/8 steel with a two inch air gape works well on windows.

This place was bombed about a year ago, but is back in business with much tighter security. The food is great (I'm a big fan of the couscous) with pizza, sandwiches, fish (pick your fish out of a big pool on premises), Middle Eastern, etc.
I was there a few months back and had a great time. Like all things in Baghdad, though, it is sort of a "go at your own risk" type place. Definitely my favorite night spot in Baghdad... actually it is the only one I am familiar with!
Oh, and very reasonable. Dinner should run from $5-10 and a beer is something like $2.
Dress Code: None... Don't bring in weapons, though.

Night time is Army time. The US Army owns the night. The Army has unparalled ability to see and manouver in the darkness.

It was nice to have a walk in that square at night at that time.
I don't think it would be a good idea now...
