Where ever you are...
Here in Baghdad the term "Tourist Trap" takes on a whole new meaning. My advice? Stay off all highways, streets and alleys and especially stay away from hotels, police stations, soldiers and any other high priority target.
Unique Suggestions: If you must drive, drive fast. Don't let local cars butt into your convoy. Do not drive over or near ANYTHING-it could be a bomb. This includes dead animals, potholes, guardrails, man-hole covers and other cars (moving or stationary).
Everyone is out to ambush YOU until proven otherwise.

Riding a Camel
Riding a camel can be quite expensive in Iraq: up to/from $20.
Think carefully if you really want to have that service available in many places in the south.

Get inside Saddam's Hand
If you give $5 to the local Iraqi guy "guarding" the parade field, you can climb up inside the hand.
Unique Suggestions: I got into the hand for $2, so feel free to haggle!
